Revision Material

Pilot progression is an important part of our sport and the BHPA expects all newly qualified pilots to work towards the Pilot rating. A pilot rating is essential for anybody flying XC and the syllabus is geared towards this end.

The exam cannot be taken until all the pilot tasks have been completed and signed off by club coaches. The exam is now online and is invigilated by a coach.

There are 5 sections:-

1. Meteorology

2. Airlaw

3. Principles of Flight

4. Human Factors & Airmanship

5. Navigation
