Club Coach Course - January 2027

The club is hosting a BHPA Club Coaching course on the 16 and 17 January 2027 at the Tithe Barn in Merriott, Somerset.

The course is delivered by BHPA technical officers and is open to any BHPA member.  This is an “attendance only” course. There are no tests or exams and, providing you fully attend both days, you will be deemed to have successfully completed the course.

Note:- In the event that you cannot attend then all monies paid will be refunded provided that your place can be filled before the course commences. Please inform the organiser as soon as possible to allow adequate time to find a replacement.

Attending the course does not obligate you to become a club coach. Many people attend the course to gain an insight into the coaching environment without ever wishing to take the next step into coaching other pilots. Likewise, completing the course, does not guarantee that you will be accepted as a club coach.

 

You will be provided with a form at the end of the final day to confirm you have successfully completed the course and, to become a Club Coach, this form will need to be countersigned by your club’s Chief Coach. The Chief Coach has the responsibility to ensure that they consider you suitable for the position and that you meet the BHPA requirements detailed in the Technical Manual. A Club Coach position only remains valid if your club’s Chief Coach validates its renewal each year.
