Simon Murphy started selling kit in 1976, soon after joining the the Condors and learning to fly with Local Hero Brian Wright. He has since traded continuously under a variety of names: Simon Murphy Hang Gliding gave way to Simon Murphy’s Flying Circus, before the Paragliding side of the business boomed, prompting the change to Firebird UK.

As a result of their prominent position in the UK market, FBUK have attracted a very strong list of international suppliers: Firebird and Team 5 paragliders; Moyes Hang Gliders; North Wing trikes and hang gliders; Charly accessories; Gliderider; Renschler instruments; von Blon harnesses; Keller harnesses; All these top-ranking companies have appointed FBUK as their sole UK distributors.
